We arrived back in York on my birthday, as we have to be here in order to register for marriage. As my fiance has only been to York once, we decided to take a trip to the National Railway Museum.
I've been here quite a few times in the past; we even had a school to the museum when I was in Primary school. Admission is, remarkably free, although there are donation boxes set up around the exhibits, and as it is such a wonderful place to visit (no matter how old you are!) I would highly recommend giving some kind of contribution to them.
One of the great marks of any country/ city, is having free to enter cultural experiences, and I fear that, with the current government moving in the direction that it is, these experiences may one day be a thing of the past.
